Workshop: Data analysis and use in the education sector

Saudigitus (HISP Mozambique) has conducted a workshop on data use and analysis in the education sector, in collaboration with regional partners and Mozambique’s Ministry of Education and Human Development.

In the context of extending DHIS2 to the education sector through the Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) project, Saudigitus (HISP Mozambique) conducted a workshop on data analysis and use for the education sector using DHIS2. The workshop took place in April, in the provinces of Nampula and Zambézia, with the aim of training technicians in the planning sector and district education directors on analysis tools and data use strategies in evidence-based decision-making processes. The event was organized by Saudigitus, in partnership with Associação para o Fortalecimento Comunitário (UATAF – AFC) and Associação Mukalelo, and in close collaboration with the Provincial Education Directorates of the provinces of Nampula and Zambézia.

In addition to provincial and district technicians, the event was also attended by staff from the Ministry of Education and Human Development, who emphasized the relevance of DHIS2 in data management in the education sector, characterizing it as a very bold tool that meets the data management needs that the sector faces.
