Driving Innovation in Education Data: UiO at the 5th Annual GPE KIX Symposium
Terje Aksel Sanner, Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of Oslo (UiO), will join Togo’s Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education to share results from their joint work in a GPE KIX-funded research project.
The 5th Annual Global Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE KIX) Symposium, hosted by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders on December 16-17, 2024, to explore the theme of “Promoting a culture of evidence-use in policymaking – challenges and opportunities.”
This virtual symposium provides a platform for government officials, civil society organizations, researchers, and global knowledge leaders to share insights on leveraging evidence for transformative policymaking. Attendees can look forward to engaging panel discussions and parallel sessions that showcase thematic research supported by GPE KIX, including highlights from the work of UiO.
UiO and Togo Highlight Data Systems Innovation
On Day Two, during the Data Systems and Data Use breakout session, Terje Aksel Sanner, Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of Oslo (UiO), will join Togo’s Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education to share results from their joint work in a GPE KIX-funded research project.
This initiative investigates how a digital platform approach can empower schools and districts to co-create and scale education management information system (EMIS) innovations. By integrating local insights and needs into digital solutions, the project aims to foster more inclusive, effective, and sustainable education systems.
