Generating knowledge on a digital platform approach to scaling and sustaining EMIS innovations and best practices
The Senegal Education Sector Plan (Paquet) refers to the need for strengthening of systems at all levels through widening the access information and documentation, implementing appropriately elaborate statistical information systems from preschool to general secondary school as well as for TVET. Overall the sector plan outlines the necessity of integration of and access to information, as well as the need to strengthen the decentralization of the management of education.
The GPE KIX research project aims to identify and document the potential of a platform approach to improve local access to and use of data. Together with the ministry 2 districts of excellence have been identified as learning sites to better understand how to support data management and data use practices at subnational level. This includes facilitating decentralization of decision making, including local operationalization of gender, equity and social inclusion indicators.
