Moving research into action: KIX knowledge mobilization blog series
An assessment report from March 2020 details the DHIS2 for Education pilot in Uganda.
DHIS2 for Education is excited to share an insightful new blog series from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) program, which is designed to support the effective use of evidence in education systems worldwide. A partnership with Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), KIX focuses on producing high-quality, relevant research tailored for education policymakers and practitioners in GPE partner countries. This series reveals practical strategies and lessons learned from KIX-supported research projects on how to make research insights accessible and actionable.
This series kicks off with a deep dive into KIX’s approach to knowledge mobilization, examining monitoring, evaluation, and learning data to highlight effective practices across the KIX research portfolio. Featured posts explore diverse strategies, such as:
- The role of scaling advisory committees from CAMFED,
- Community-level knowledge mobilization with national impact from World Vision,
- Action research as co-creation led by the University of Oslo, and
- Multi-stakeholder engagement from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
The series concludes with insights from Dr. James Georgalakis, a knowledge mobilization specialist, who contextualizes these practices within global trends.
We invite education stakeholders and research teams to explore this series to learn about innovative knowledge mobilization practices that can help bridge the gap between research and action.
